Supporting Families Offer

Supporting Families Offer

At Galton Valley Primary School we understand that from time-to-time family life can have its complications and families may need some extra help and support. At such times, the Safeguarding Team (Mrs Robb, Miss Thompson, Mrs Begum, Mrs Hudson and Mrs Hughes) can offer support and advice on a range of matters or can signpost parents to other sources of information and support.

What sort of concerns might parents share with our team?

A wide range of issues such as behaviour management, financial worries and debts, domestic abuse, immigration, housing concerns, mobility difficulties, bereavement and loss, cyber bullying - in fact any concerns which you are worried might be having a negative impact on your child(ren) or family.

What might we offer in response to your concerns?

  • Family Support Workers
  • Senior Mental Health Lead – Mrs Hughes
  • Drawing and Talking therapy – 2 trained members of staff who can deliver the program in school
